'Carcass Disappearance' The second photo shows the position of the carcass on the roadside. This is another section of Jacksonville Road with steep cut banks. As of 10/23/2015 there was no change to the location or condition of the carcass.
The carcass was checked on 10/28/2015, no change in location or condition was noted. Turkey vultures have been absent in the area for about 3 weeks now. Is the absence of activity at the carcass site attributed to lack of turkey vultures. Why have scavengers left it alone. Just my thoughts.
