Observation Date / Time
'Carcass Disappearance' Most of my observations are made on rural roads and thus I remove carcasses after my evaluation. I thought I would place this carcass in a position of easy access and reevaluate the next day. This is rural residential with interior live oak, blue oak and gray pine as the dominant trees. There is cattle to the east along with a large year-round pond. Wire, wood and masonry fences can be found 2 - 5 feet off the roadway. I went back to the site the next day (16 hours later) and was unable to find the carcass.
