Observation ID: 56774

Bighorn Institute received a report of a dead bighorn along Highway 74 and located a dead two-year old ram lying on its right side with his head tilted back on the Deep Canyon side of the road near post mile marker 85.85. The carcass was relatively fresh and mostly whole, but the left leg and lower abdomen had been opened up by a scavenger. The ram was likely hit by a vehicle the day before (4-13-15) as there was blood found on the highway south of the rams location.
