Observation Date / Time

Very light drizzle intermittent over previous 24 hours. Extraordinarily dry winter so amphibians desperate to use moisture events like this to get a move on. Had not observed eggs of this species before so made special effort to record them. Overstory of this site is closed canopy conifers, mainly redwoods. This salamander appeared to be headed toward La Honda Creek (50 feet away) when it was hit.
