Weather: clear, warm, calm winds. The carcass was in the east-bound direction between the #1 and #2 lanes of a 4 lane road. Looks like it was hit in the nose, not much damage. Very busy road. Four lanes is a long way to cross for a squirrel. Landscaped trees on both sides of the road. The squirrel was forced to the ground to cross the road. Western Gray Squirrels are rare in urban Davis.
