Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 30% cloud cover, 0-1 mph winds, 114.8 degrees Fahrenheit. First observed at 0812 a.m. Stopped for identification and measurements at 1158 a.m.
