Immature, unsexed. Carcass obviously dessicated & hydrated a few times this fall & winter. Completely flat & devoid of fur, but enough dental & morphological characters to correctly identify it. Opossums are very different than rats or squirrels in several particular ways (teeth, nails, scalation of tail, opposable thumb, etc.). With patience and a good eye, any carcass can be identified!
