bit of a damp spot on the left hand side (see photo). did not see any apparent injuries. the snake was not there the previous morning (we walk this road daily). we wondered if we'd interrupted a coyote kill, but it was there for several days. coyotes usually come back for the beasties they kill right after we leave. (we see that with rabbit parts a lot.)
