Mother bear and two cubs tried to cross Highway before I arrived. I came along to see motionless cub in northbound lane and mother with healthy cub pacing on west side of highway. Mother briefly dragged dead cub a few feet towards the west but retreated. Mother and cub returned and sniffed dead cub. They retreated again. Not safe for anyone to move cub out of roadway. I slowly drove around, called 911.
