Observation Date / Time

This was a grey fox lying on the side of the road next to a mangled rabbit. It seemed like the fox was trying to scavenge a road-kill rabbit, or the fox was carrying the rabbit and both got nailed. But the rabbit was clearly run over and smashed, while the poor fox was intact and looking healthy and beautiful in spite of death.

Location Description
This is an overpass called White's Hill on Sir Francis Drake Blvd, that straddles the towns of Fairfax and Woodace where vehicles drive way too fast. A very sad waste of two beautiful lives happened here. I removed them both to safe place for turkey vultures to recycle them. This road goes through a number of preserves.
Roadside Features
guardrail median barrier
bridge
