Some folks showed a picture of a badger crawling across the road at 3:30pm, on the valley floor of Death Valley, where it was 120 degrees and miles from the mountains. I couldn’t believe it. I told a coworker and she went and found it, by the time she got to it, it succumbed to the heat. Didn’t see any trauma to it. I don’t think it was hit by a car...it was so skinny I think it was dehydrated...So after work I went and looked for it and found it. Soooo crazy it was on the valley floor in the middle of the day. It is definitely a “Death Valley mystery” of all the crazy things that happen out here. My friend may post her pictures, I know she has an inaturalist also.
