First observed while I was walking on the False Ravine Trail (I was on west side of the creek) south of Secret Ravine Parkway. The deer wad heading north while running on the opposite (east) side of creek towards the underpass. But about 30 seconds after I lost site of the deer, I heard the impact as a car (Ford Focus) hit the deer who had run up onto the overpass instead of following the creek under the roadway. I called 911 as the deer still had a pulse and hoped they could perhaps put it out of its misery. I contnued checking the pulse for about 15 minutes before it passed away and before law enforcement arrived. The impact was very severe, doing significant damage to the car, and I don't think the deer could have been saved.
