This is a opossum that I found here in San Diego, sadly it had been hit by a car. I know this is a Didelphis virginiana (marsupial) because of it's prehensile tail. At first I wondered if this opossum was really dead because I know they can play dead very well however I noticed blood and a day later the opossum was still there.
