Observation ID: 173835

I did not get super close to it but as far as I can tell it does not smell so it seems like it did not die of an infection. Its eyes are cloudy but not sunken in and its body is still in rigor mortis so it probably died sometime last night. There is a nest in the tree directly above the squirrel so I am thinking it probably died and fell out of the nest. I have seen squirrels survive much longer falls so I do not believe that it died from falling out of the nest.
