The Crow pointed out the roadkill… an unfortunate California Ground Squirrel. In the last few days, I’ve seen so many run-over Squirrels on the mountain roads of my neighborhood, about 10 times as many as normally. The Fox Squirrels around my house are mating and fighting for territory, so perhaps that applies to all our Squirrels and makes them dash across streets frequently which increases the odds for an accident… In any event, sad.
