Striped Skunk

Dead Striped Skunk on Mulholland Hwy, its musky scent filling the canyon. I’m not sure the Skunk died in a collision with a car. As I was quickly taking pictures on a road filled with speeding weekend joy riders, I didn’t see any apparent trauma, and there was no blood. But looking at the pictures I noticed a wound in the center of the Skunk’s head. Was the Skunk shot, or is this a tumor? Would a scavenger start eating there? Details are of hind and front feet.
