See https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/9390082 for banding pattern in CA ground squirrel. Also evident is front foot with 4 slender toes, consistent with ground squirrel. Banding pattern of raccoon is much wider and raccoons have 5 toes on front and hind feet. Ringtail not found in this area, plus banding pattern is even thicker relative to animal size in that species.
