Pacific Newt (roadkill)
This newt was still alive, though mortally wounded. A horrible sight to see. It was moving its head side to side and then, fatigued, it'd lay its head on the road for a few seconds. It made me cry. I know people who would kill it to put it out of its misery, but I couldn't bring myself to do that because then I'd be complicit in its death. So I left it with a prayer that its suffering would end soon.
