Dead Pacific Newt (roadkill)
I saw 6 Pacific Newt carcasses on this short section of Alma Bridge Rd. near the Limekiln trailhead (see other observations for this day).
There were at least 5 other carcasses that were smashed flat - could've been newts or lizards.
Sadly, I didn't see any live newts today.
