Observation ID: 157644

DOR on Stocker St. 75m east of Fairfax. This snake had likely been run over by hundreds or possibly even thousands of vehicles since it was originally hit (I watched at least 5 more vehicles hit it as I returned to pick it up). Nevertheless, it did not have a strong smell of decomposition so I took a tissue sample for the genetic resources collection at the Natural History Museum (GBP 1900). The close up photos are of the anterior region and the least damaged mid-body section just to show the pattern a bit better.
