Observation Date / Time
Young buck, antlers beginning to grow out. Not sure if he had just been hit very recently or overnight. A great deal of moisture/mucus was still running from his nose. Open vineyards of Eastside or road; vineyards with wire and wood post fencing on Westside of road. About 25 feet to North of fawn's body is a seasonal creek which does not appear to be fenced. Someone stopped by to ask if I had hit the fawn. After I explained what I was doing, she helped me move fawn farther away from road. I called Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue to let them know of the fawn's location if they needed it to feed ambassador wildlife. Weather at time of observation: 59 degrees F, sunny.
