Observation Date / Time
usually these deer observed on opposite side of freeway due to tree-covered hillsides w/much vegetation and forage. This side of freeway bordered by back of large parking lot of KMart w/approx. 6' chain link fence bordering. Deer seen lying close to drainage culvert - possibly seeking escape route?? Center divider of the freeway here is elevated (approx. 2' height) metal barricade w/short wooden support posts. Possible that deer may have crossed over from other side of freeway where smaller groups (3-7 deer) regularly observed.
