somewhat confident
Observation Date / Time
Current weather: calm, 50 degrees F., partly cloudy. Heavy rain yesterday. Ditch on east side of the road and grain field. Pond on the west side of the road. No barriers. Body in good condition. Definately a rat in the genus Rattus. By habitat, I believe it is Norway Rat. They generally live in agricultural areas, wetlands. More so than the Black Rat. Carcass found in the north bound lane along the paved shoulder.
