Current Weather: mostly sunny, 58 degrees F, calm. Narrow county road with minimial shoulder. West side of road has a dirt edge and a orchard beyond the road. East side of the road had wild roses and young valley oaks and a ditch. Willow Slough is just about 30 yards to the north. No barriers observed. The elevation is 27 feet. The sparrow was an immature. The body was in fairly good condition. Not predated. The bird was in the south bound lane.
