Bighorn ewe and unborn lamb reported by a visitor in the vehicle behind the RV that struck her on 06 April 2013. The description of her location along the road was too vague for Law Enforcement Rangers to find her after dark. She was located ~48 hours later and was dead. These images were taken 11 April 2013 at the same time tissue samples were obtained for DNA analysis. She was about 50 feet off the road. Both her rear legs were broken in multiple places and she died giving birth. Just the fetus' head was outside her body. Turkey Vultures (8) were present and feeding on both carcasses. The sex of the lamb was unable to be determined.
