Open coast live oak/Engelmann oak woodland. I believe that this intersection is the point at which the speed limit goes from 35 to 55, but I'm not sure. The bird was in the middle of the intersection, which is a 2-way stop. Lyons Valley Road continues through, but Skyline Truck trail traffic stops, and on the other side of the intersection the road becomes Honey Springs Road.
