Narrow section of road (does not meet county standard for two lane rural road) with vegetated edges just off pavement (almost no transition from pavement to vegetation). Blackberry and Interior Live Oak on the west side and Blue Oak/Interior Live Oak with areas of CA Annual Grassland on east. I routinely observe Acorn Woodpeckers flying from trees to roadway and retreat flight just seconds before being hit.
