I actually saw this carcass late last week, but didn't have an opportunity to stop and examine/identify it until this morning. Don't recall the exact date or time I initially saw it. That's why it's about a week old, on a road I travel more or less daily. Next to lavishly maintained large residence, among non-native grassland with coastal sage scrub elements. Long steep hill on Campo Road, conducive to high-speed traffic. Animal is a young pup, small, with some juvenile pelage.
