A gorgeous specimen of the striped morph of California kingsnake, which is common in San Diego. Along a sycamore and mulefat-dominated riparian strip, transecting an expanse of non-native grassland. The road is the driveway to our office, gated and not open to the public. About a dozen USFWS, CDFG, and BLM employees, and an undetermined number of border patrol agents, use it daily. The posted speed limit is 15 mph.
