Red Diamond Rattlesnake
Identification Confidence
100% certain
Observation Date / Time
Not entirely clear that this snake was killed by a vehicle. The 3 rocks near it (visible in the photo) suggest that somebody stopped on the road and intentionally killed it with these rocks. Either way, it was killed on the road, by human activity, and wouldn't have been killed if it hadn't been on the road. I missed saving it by minutes, as it was still twitching when I got there.
