Observation Date / Time

Moderate damage. Struck by a car two miles ahead of me. I watched an Aquila chrysaetos (Golden Eagle) land and begin removing the entrails. After I took the images, it carried the carcass away within 5 minutes. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 90% cloud cover, 1-3 mph winds, 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
