Observation Date / Time

Nothing left except the freshly eaten berries and blood splatter. Evidence of another roadkill (Desert Woodrat?) ~30 feet South of this blood splatter. There was also evidence of predators nearby: a very fresh Vulpes macrotis (Kit Fox) scat 4 mm away from Desert Woodrat carcass, a Buteo jamaicensis (Red-tailed Hawk), and a Corvus corax (Common Raven) both flying overhead. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 0-5% cloud cover, 5-15 mph winds, 64 degrees Fahrenheit.
