Surrounding habitat irrigated pastures and vineyards; blackberry hedge on W. side of road and fence on the E. The spike buck had probably been hit yesterday. 12 vultures and 8 ravens were hanging around dodging cars on West Road. Eyes gone but carcass still unopened.
