The car ahead of me struck and killed this toad. I watched it jump as their rear wheel was passing. Damage was visible on the head and right rear leg of the carcass. Highly cultivated inholding. Dominent vegetation includes: Filifera washingtonia(Fan Palm), Phoenix dactylifera (Date Palm), Nerium oleander (Oleander), and Tamarix aphylla (Athel Tamarisk). Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert Holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet) are also visible on the east side of the road. Weather: 25-40% cloud cover, 0-5 mph winds, 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
