Extensive damage, carcass stuck to the asphalt, ventral side facing the sky. Identification based on five toes on the hind foot and a tail length of greater than 165 mm. First observed at 9:00 a.m.; positive identification occurred at 11:23 p.m. Vegetation: dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: clear, 0-5 mph winds, 112 degrees Fahrenheit.
