Very recent strike, blood was still sticky on head. Minor damage to body, minor damage to head until second vehicle strike, then flattened with moderate damage to head. A very concerned tourist stopped to ask if I needed help while proceeding to flatten the carcass. Snout-to-vent length was 8.2 cm, tail length was 4.3 cm, total length was 12.5 cm, width was 4.1 cm. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: clear, 0-5 mph winds, 99 degrees Fahrenheit.
