I observed the striped skunk when I was out for a jog. I returned in about 1 hour, but the city Animal Control had removed the carcass. I am absolutely certain that it was a large adult striped skunk.
The kill sie is at the bottom of a hill after a sweeping turn. There are fences and suburban yards on each side of the road and a large open space within 100 feet of the site. The morning was bright and clear, about 56F.
The carcass was complete.
