Based on UCSC's local small mammal guide, it seems the distinct golden stripe along the side is indicative of Peromyscus truei or Peromyscus californicus (which also is known to have the golden/orange stripe). The coloring and ear size doesn't seem to be right for peromyscus maniculatus.

Tail is ~95-100 mm
Tuft is 6+ mm
Hind-leg in ~21 mm
Ear is 23-24mm
