Animal
Common Garter Snake
Observation Date / Time
7 upper/10 lower labial scales, 19 scale rows mid body, stripes and side blotches pale yellow; saved as PSM 11111; note the body is somewhat flattened being run over in the above picture.
Just noticed there is an out of range flag for this lat/long which is incorrect. There is even a subspecies described for Puget Sound, including Vashon Island, named appropriately the Puget Sound Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis ssp. pickeringii) and T. sirtalis ranges much further north even on iNaturalist map.
SVL = 320 mm
