Crushed, paralyzed from lower limbs through tail. Still alive when I returned to see if I had actually struck it or not. Died about 3 minutes after the images were taken. Measurements are: Snout-to-vent 79 mm, tail 60 mm. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 20% cloud cover, 0-5 mph winds, 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
