Crushed, moderate damage. A Common Raven (Corvus corax) picked this carcass up prior to my being able to get out of the car and take any images. The car in front of me struck the kangaroo rat as it was crossing the road. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 50% cloud cover, 0 mph winds, 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
