Crushed, extensive damage. Impact zone covered 115 feet. It was struck in the Westbound lane and 'moved' to the position where found in the Eastbound lane. A Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura) flew in and waited for me to enter the car prior to feeding. Sparse vegetation dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 0% cloud cover, smike haze in the Northwest, 2.4-4.7 mph winds, 97 degrees Fahrenheit.
