Flattened and in two pieces. The piece attached to the head was 2 inches long and the body was 17 inches long. Part of the tail was missing (see the images). Moderate vegetative coverage dominated by Atriplex hymenelytra (Desert holly), Larrea tridentata (Creosote), and Erigonum inflatum (Desert trumpet). Weather: 75-90% cloud cover, 0-5 mph winds, 70 degrees Fahrenheit. There was still rain visible on the road from showers earlier that day. Ants were starting to feed on the head as I was taking the images.
